Ari is an honors Management Information Systems major, and sits on Temple Student Government Parliament as representative of the Fox School of Business. Ari is a Career Ambassador for the Fox Center for Student Professional Development, and most recently served as President of the Association for Information Systems. Ari has played an instrumental role in developing Jewish programming on campus by serving in both formal and informal leadership positions in Hillel, Chabad, Jewish Heritage Programs, and Alpha Epsilon Pi. Ari is passionate about promoting technology literacy throughout the city of Philadelphia, starting by installing computer systems at Duckrey elementary on 16th & Diamond, and now coordinating a large-scale volunteer effort at the Honickman Learning Center and Comcast Technology Labs.

Dalia is a third year Honors student double-majoring in Biology and Spanish. She currently spends her time volunteering at Shriner’s Hospital for Children, conducting clinical research in the Emergency Department at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and is working to become an Honors Peer Mentor at Temple University. Dalia has been involved with the Honors Activities Board and served as the Communications Chair and Historian during her sophomore and junior years. She is a sister of Delta Zeta and will be travelling to California this summer to volunteer as a camp counselor for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses through her sorority’s National Service Project, the Painted Turtle Camp. Dalia loves to travel and studied abroad in Oviedo, Spain last summer to improve her Spanish language skills and immerse herself in the culture. She also visits Amman, Jordan to spend time with her family and fluently speaks Arabic. Dalia dreams of becoming a doctor one day and hopes to volunteer abroad to provide urgent medical care for people who cannot afford or do not have access to health care.

Shiven is a, honors sophomore Political Science and Economics double major with a minor in Global Studies focused in the Global Economy. Shiven has been involved with Model United Nations as a former member of the E-Board, and by contributing as committee director for Temple’s annual conference for high school students, OWLMUN. Shiven is the academic chair in his fraternity, Kappa Delta Rho and helps brothers succeed academically and professionally. Last semester Shiven worked with Congressman Donald Norcross on his campaign to get re-elected to Congress and is working at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office this summer. Shiven is passionate about civics and wants to attend law school to be a voice for those who don’t have one.

Kevin is a junior studying Risk Management and Insurance in The Fox School of Business. Kevin currently works in the College of Liberal Arts as a peer advisor, serves as Allocations Co-Chair for Temple Student Government and is a member of Gamma Iota Sigma, the student professional organization for RMI and actuarial science majors. During his time at Temple, Kevin has been actively involved in student affairs. He worked as an Owl Team Leader for 2 summers (Fun fact, he was VP Candidate Shiven Shah’s Owl Team Leader!) and was an RA last year in Morgan North. Ryan is a junior Strategic Communication major, with a minor in Political Science. Outside of his classes, Ryan serves as the Assistant General Manager of Programming for WHIP Radio, and co-hosts his own political talk show on the radio. Through this show he has had the opportunity to interview people such as U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Katie McGinty, Former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld, and countless reporters from The Washington Post and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Ryan had one of the best experiences of his life this past summer when he served as an Owl Team Leader, and helped to welcome over 5,000 new students to Temple. Ryan is already involved with Temple Student Government as the representative from the School of Media and Communication on the Parliament. Ryan has always had a love for politics, and he began to further that passion this semester through an internship with Philadelphia City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson. In his office, Ryan has worked to put together a conference that seeks to develop an innovative solution to reducing the amount of gun violence in Philadelphia. In addition to planning the conference, Ryan has been involved in various legislative and constituent related tasks through his work with Councilman Johnson. Ryan hopes to have a City Council office of his own one day, where he can continue to work to improve the lives of Philadelphians across the city.

Alexa is a junior at Temple University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She is currently the Executive Director of Communications for the Temple Student Alumni Association and the Social Media Manager for Temple Student Government. Alexa participated in Temple Athletics for two years as a member of the Temple University Diamond Gems Dance Team and was involved with Temple Update: Update Now as a writer and anchor. Among her extracurricular involvements, Alexa previously interned at iHeartRadio Philadelphia where she recorded a personal interview with People Against Distracted Driving that was aired on Q102, Radio 104.5 and Mix 106.1. This summer, Alexa interned at Fox29 positioned in Good Day Philadelphia. She also interned at the Democratic National Convention 2016 in Philadelphia in liaison with the Washington Center and completed fieldwork placement with the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. Alexa was an intern on Josh Shapiro’s campaign for Attorney General in the fall and is now looking for the next venture in her career. Alexa is an outgoing, extroverted woman who enjoys taking on new projects and being hands on in a work environment. Julia is a sophomore at Temple University majoring in advertising, hoping to pursue the Art Direction track. She is the Public Relations Chair for Delta Phi Epsilon, a member of the Victoria’s Secret PINK Campus Street Team and a Social Media and Marketing Intern at the American Heart Association. In addition to her communication experience, she is also passionate about her involvement with student development at Temple. She has worked as an Owl Team Leader for the Office of Orientation, New Student and Family Programs and will continue in her role as a Returner for this upcoming summer. Janine is a senior Political Science major with a minor in Global Security. She is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, Temple University’s Political Science Honors Society. Ben is a junior Media Studies & Production major at Temple. Outside of working on the Connecting TU campaign, Ben spends much of his time being involved with operations at TUTV (Temple University Television). In addition to being on staff for the station, he’s an Executive Producer for OwlSports Update, and also the chief photographer for Temple Update. Over the years, Ben has received numerous awards for his work on TUTV, including three regional Emmys from the NATAS Mid-Atlantic region. Ben also does a lot of freelance work on the side, including corporate and wedding videography. While his work requires a large amount of editing, what he enjoys most is working with people directly in the field, capturing their stories and having a hand in making them come to life again. After graduation, Ben hopes to work in live television in either news or sports, and one day do so on a national market scale for a major network.

Rafael is a junior studying Economics in the Fox School of Business with a minor in Management Information Systems. Rafael is currently a Resident Assistant for the Leadership Living Learning Community in 1300 North. He has been involved in Alpha Tau Omega and currently serves as the Scholarship Chair for his fraternity. In the past two years, Rafael has been involved with Temple’s Office of Orientation as an Owl Team Leader and Student Coordinator for the Owl Team his second year. Rafael works for Spiral Q, a nonprofit organization in West Philadelphia that promotes artistic activism, and has volunteered for Project H.O.M.E. in its mission to combat homelessness in Philadelphia. Danny is a sophomore Criminal Justice major with a minor in Political Science. He is the current Director of University Pride and Traditions for Temple Student Government. Danny is a member of the Cherry Crusade where you will frequently find him cheering on the Owls. He is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. During his freshman year, he lived in the Healthy Lifestyles LLC in 1940. Danny has a strong sense of pride in Temple having grown up 25 minutes away from Main Campus. John is a Senior in Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering. Currently, John is a member of Temple’s Army ROTC with a full four year STEM scholarship. He is also participates on campus as the Temple Student Government Director of Security where he works directly with Temple Police and the surrounding community. John also serves as a member of the Diamond Leadership Program where he has led multiple seminars. In the past, John has served as the International Project Lead for Engineers without Borders and the Primary College of Engineering Representative on the Student Recreation Board. Off of campus, John has served as an intern at the NASA Ames Research Center, United States Army Corps of Engineers, and has traveled to Germany to participate in training with the German Army Officer’s School. He has also had a paper published by the Villanova Ethics of War Conference and has had research published by the American Geophysical Union in cooperation with NASA Ames Research Center. John has also been awarded a Post Scholarship from the Society of American Military Engineers, a Gold Level Award from the Military Order of the World Wars, and the German Sharpshooter Badge from the German Military. John has been involved in expanding the Engineering community’s on campus involvement all four years of his university career Upon graduation, John will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army where he will draw upon his university experiences in order to continue to develop as a leader.

Worked at SAP in the IT Mergers and Acquisition Center of Excellence (IT M&A CoE) as part of the IT Strategic Initiatives area driving SAP’s internal strategic programs as well as process and system integration programs for our acquired companies. Also completed a summer as a De-escalation architect and was in charge of analyzing the criticality of the problems faced by customers using our company’s products while doing an end to end analysis on the workflow to find the cause. Was a research assistant at Dell and was responsible for developing a process to migrate data on Boomi Atoms across servers. Sarikka is a Junior Honors student, majoring in Management Information Systems and Marketing. She is currently a Resident Assistant in Morgan South, a sister of Alpha Xi Delta, and the Director of Media Relations for the American Marketing Association. For the past two years, Sarikka has mentored culturally and linguistically diverse students in Alter Hall’s Business Communications Center. Additionally, Sarikka serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Center for Neural Decision Making, in which she aides graduate researchers in conducting bio-physiological studies. Through all of her business endeavors, Sarikka makes sure she holds on to her creative side; she currently is a part-time Graphic Designer for NEST, a child enrichment center located on Locust Street, and enjoys painting in her free time!
